But, as any adventurer knows, no journey ever goes exactly as planned. Sometimes, new paths reveal themselves... hidden doors you didn’t expect, twists you never saw coming.

And that’s exactly what happened.

Book 9 covers only four levels: Levels Forty-One through Forty-Four.
Why? Because these levels demanded more. The challenges Hendric and his companions face here are unlike anything they’ve encountered before... darker, more brutal, and emotionally intense. Every battle carries more weight, every decision cuts deeper, and the dungeon itself seems to pulse with a malevolent will, determined to break them. Condensing these levels or rushing through them would’ve done a disservice to the story. They needed space to breathe, to evolve, and to hit with full force.

But that’s not the biggest twist.

The series isn’t ending with Book Ten. There will be an ELEVENTH BOOK.
Yes, I said it. Eleven books. The adventure has grown beyond its original scope, and Hendric’s journey isn’t finished. The story demanded more, the characters had more to give, and the dungeon... oh, the dungeon has so much more in store.

I’m thrilled to share an update on the progress of Book 4 in my Dungeon Diving series. As of today, Chapter 13 is complete, and the manuscript has reached an exciting 37,300 words. Hendric and his companions have plunged into the start of level eighteen, where the challenges are more dangerous, the stakes higher, and the tension at its peak. Writing these levels has been an incredible journey, and I’m working hard to bring you a story that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Each book in the series will cover five levels, starting with Levels 1-5 in Book 1, and continuing down to Level 50 over the ten-book arc. Titles and covers play a critical role in shaping the identity of a book. They’re more than just a name and a design; they’re a reflection of the journey within its pages. When I first started writing this story, Perfectly Imperfect felt like the right title. It spoke to some of the themes I was exploring, but as the narrative evolved, it became clear that the title didn’t quite capture the heart of the story.

After a lot of thought (and some brainstorming sessions), I’ve decided to change the title. I’m thrilled to introduce you to Shadows of Uharan, the new name for my book. This title resonates deeply with the themes that have emerged... betrayal, redemption, resilience, and the haunting truths buried in the past. It reflects the journey of my characters, especially Kell, as he confronts the legacy of Uharan and the shadows that linger from its tragic past.

Along with the new title comes a fresh cover design. While it might not be as bold or flashy as some of my previous covers, it perfectly encapsulates the essence of the story. The image of Kell’s ship drifting through space and the shadowy presence of the androids evokes the mystery and weight of the tale.

Making this change wasn’t an easy decision. Perfectly Imperfect had a charm of its own, but Shadows of Uharan truly represents the story I’ve crafted and the emotional depths it explores.

I’m incredibly excited about this new direction and can’t wait to share the story with you. Let me know what you think about the new title and cover... I’d love to hear your thoughts!

As of today, I’ve officially wrapped up chapter 19 of my work-in-progress sci-fi novel, bringing the total word count to an exciting 56,100 words!  This story has evolved far beyond what I originally envisioned. The twists, the depth of the characters, and the complexity of the plot have exceeded my initial expectations... and I love it.

But with that evolution comes a realization: the current title, Perfectly Imperfect, no longer feels like the right fit. The story’s tone has shifted, and the themes have expanded in ways I didn’t foresee. As a result, I’m exploring new title ideas that will better capture the essence of this sprawling tale of survival, betrayal, and redemption among the stars.

This change will also bring a fresh cover design to match the updated title and tone. It’s both exciting and a little daunting to re-imagine such a key part of the book, but I’m ready for the challenge.

This story follows Hendric, a young, ambitious dungeon diver setting out on his first perilous journey into a sprawling dungeon. Dungeon diving is a dangerous path, but for those who make it far enough, the rewards are incredible, wealth, status, maybe even a shot at eternal fame. Hendric's story promises action, thrills, and plenty of monsters, all wrapped in a dark, moody world filled with mystery and challenges.

The story continues to evolve, and even as I near the end, the characters and their journeys keep surprising me. So much has happened, but trust me, there’s still a lot to come as we close in on the finish line. After the success of The Monster Girls of Neon-City, I’m excited to share my next big idea! This time, I’m creating a PG-rated series so that readers of all ages can join the adventure. The story will take place two years into the future, in an evolved version of Neon-City, now a hugely popular game. But unlike the previous series, this one dives into the action from the players' perspectives rather than the creators'.

Our main character, Tom, is one of sixteen players chosen for an incredible, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity in this immersive game. We’ll follow him through ten intense levels, each one bringing new challenges, discoveries, and surprises. Each book in this series will represent a different level, starting with Book One, and together, they’ll chart the thrilling journey to the top!

Each of them is far from perfect, and that’s exactly what’s making this story so powerful to write. From complicated pasts to unexpected secrets, these moments are really bringing them to life on the page.

Working on these latest sections has made me think about how our pasts shape who we are, especially in ways we don’t expect. My protagonist, in particular, is discovering that his own history isn’t as cut-and-dry as he once thought, and the revelations he uncovers could change everything. It’s made for some incredible twists that I’m excited to share with you!

Sometimes, the writing journey takes unexpected turns, and today I’m excited to share one of those moments with you. As I was finishing up Chapter 19 of The Cursed Sword, I found myself reflecting on how much this story has grown. What I initially thought would be a single, self-contained book has now evolved into something much bigger than I originally imagined.

The current draft of The Cursed Sword now stands at 95,000 words, and the story is far from over. The plot has developed in ways that are both thrilling and complex, with new layers revealing themselves as I write. Rather than rush to tie everything up, I’ve decided to make a bold choice: The Cursed Sword will no longer be a standalone book. This is just the beginning.

So, after much thought, I’ve decided to split the story into at least two books—possibly even three! The journey of these characters, and the depth of the world they inhabit, deserves more space to unfold. By doing this, I can fully explore the rich dynamics and darker elements that have surfaced in the plot, and take you, the reader, on a much more epic adventure.

As for what’s next? I’m planning to stop here for the moment and focus on preparing this first book for publication. Later tonight, I’ll officially release The Cursed Sword, Book 1... the start of what will be an even larger saga. I couldn’t be more excited about this shift in direction and can’t wait to share this thrilling world with you.

For those who don’t know, this book has been a major project for me, and it’s shaping up to be a blend of action, adventure, and a bit of fantasy romance. I’ve been working hard to build a world that’s rich in detail, with characters that feel real and engaging.

While I can’t give away too much, I will say that the story is really starting to ramp up. I’ve been focusing a lot on building tension and pushing the characters into situations that test their limits, physically and emotionally. It’s been a lot of fun to write, and I can’t wait to see how it all comes together.
